Readmission for Former Students
I am looking to come back to BMCC? What is the procedure?
Students who previously enrolled at BMCC and who stopped attending classes (for personal, financial, or academic reasons) may re-apply to come back to school through a process called "Readmission." If you want to keep earning credits toward your Associates Degree, this option is for you.
Students who meet both the following criteria are eligible for readmission:
- Applied and was admitted to BMCC through the CUNY Application
- Registered for and participated in at least one BMCC class. (You must have earned a grade for the course, whether a letter grade or a Withdrawal or Incomplete grade.)
Readmission Information
If you completed your degree at BMCC and are returning for a different degree you will complete a Second degree application (under "other application types"). To apply for a second degree a student's previous degree status needs to be either "awarded", "approved", or "pending".
If you have attended another school since you last took classes at BMCC, please submit an official transcript from any/all college(s) you attended to the BMCC Admissions Office. There is a $20 fee for the readmission application, which will be added to your tuition bill once you register. If you have been academically dismissed from BMCC, you will have to go through the appeals process in order to be considered for readmission.
